Lozano on Technique
1. It is very important to master the technical foundations with both legs.
When we are playing in reduced spaces and with the defender very close, we can
not lose time in switching the ball to the other foot. The success or the failure
of an action is determined in a tenth of a second.
2. Prepared strategies do us no good if we do not know how to execute them correctly.
3. When we gain speed of execution in touching the ball, we gain, at the same
time, the ability to surprise the rival and increase our chances of success.
4. Stopping the ball with the sole of the foot is advisable, above all, when
we are very close to a rival, because if we don't establish the correct control
he will be able to steal the ball or disrupt the attack.
5. When you break free from a defender, it should open up some free space or
support your teammate with the ball. You should make a deceptive movement in
order to gain the space that will enable you to perform the technique with the
most ease.
6. We should attempt to carry out all the actions (passing, dribbling and receiving)
without looking at the ball, only feeling the contact with our foot, so that
our field of vision is wide. In order to accomplish this, our learning should
be constant, persevering, progressive and without hurrying.
My next commentary will concern the attack.

Lozano on Attack
1. The pass is the first link of the offensive game. If we take care with it,
it will work for us.
2. When we carry out any offensive movement without the ball, it will be extremely
important for us not to lose our visual connection with our teammate who has
the ball. Otherwise, we will not have that passing option, and it will be as
if our team will be playing with one less player during this run of play.
3. The offensive system should not be completely rigid. It should include imagination,
spontaneity, skill and creativity. Talent organized in this way can be a formula
for great success. 4. In the 2-2 offensive alignment, the first line should
be composed of fast players who are skillful and good passers. The second line
should always be looking to pass.
5. In the 3-1 system, the players on the first line should carry out exchanges
in order to find openings in the center or along the sidelines. The pivot man
on the second line will be available as a passing option.
6. In order to develop the 4-0 system correctly, there must be mastery of technique,
both singular and collective, great mobility without the ball and excellent
physical preparation.
7. When we play one-on-one, we should attempt to dodge toward the defender's
supporting leg, since it has the weight of the body over it, and he will have
less ability to react.

Lozano on Defense
Dear Readers:
I am going to send information on the defense, attack, technique, strategy and
the positioning of the goalkeeper in Futsal.
These will be concise comments, designed so that coaches can apply and develop
them in accordance with the characteristics of their teams.
The Defense
1. A good defensive system without good defenders doesn't exist. Therefore,
we will have to teach individual defensive technique.
2. In defense, imagination does not exist, only solidarity, spirit of sacrifice,
and team work.
3. The defense symbolizes the true spirit of the team: all suffering, helping
it and striving for an objective: stealing the ball.
4. The more defensive lines we have in opposition to the rival, the more we
obstruct their attack.
5. The 2-2 defensive system is the most vulnerable because it has only two lines
and, besides, they're parallel. In this case, with a pass you can beat the two
players.
6. The 3-1 defensive system is more practical. If the attack is carried out
to the right or the left, the other defender forms another defensive line.
7. The goalkeeper conforms with the last line of defense, and we try to make
him as active as possible.
8. The first defender is the man closest to the front. He influences the direction
when he applies defensive pressure, when he divides the attack and it is carried
out two against one.
9. Lastly, we should keep in mind that the best defensive system is the one
that best adapts to the characteristics of our players. One must search for
the equilibrium between the comfort of the players in their positions and the
maximum efficiency of the system.
Very good, this is my style of corresponding. If I went into more depth, we
would need far more space. I would be interested in hearing your comments.

Javier Lozano
